Summer is finally here! With each season that passes, we naturally change around our wardrobes, exchanging jeans for shorts and boots for sandals. But what about our accessories? You can do the same with your watches, as these can be seasonal too.
In the colder months, you may gravitate towards leather straps and darker dials. Whereas, summer is a time to experiment with brighter colours and lighter straps. If you are a keen sportsperson and enjoy running, swimming, exploring and travel, there are a variety of watches that will make the perfect accessory.
Here, we have put together a selection of our favourite watches for the summer.
Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600m
Swiss watchmaker Omega has introduced some exciting changes to their existing Seamaster Planet Ocean watch. They decided on a slightly more subtle orange in comparison to the 2019 counterpart. This stylish watch features a blacked-out dial and ceramic dive bezel insert. The inscription on the dial reads ‘Co-Axial Master Chronometer’ and ‘600m/2000ft’. The stainless-steel case is slightly larger at 43.5mm which is standard size for deep-sea divers and is water-resistant up to 600m.
If you enjoy summer water sports, this is the perfect watch for you. Although, you don’t need to be an athlete, or 007, to appreciate the Planet Ocean’s innovative design.
Breitling and Bentley partnered up in 2002 and are known to have had the longest-running partnership between a watch brand and motor manufacturer.
This exquisite Premier B01 Chronograph 42 Bentley features a 42 mm stainless steel case. It has a unique racing green dial and black seconds and 30-minute chronograph counters. The sapphire case back is transparent, showing off the self-winding chronometer-certified chronograph caliber.
You may not be lucky enough to own a Bentley, but you can still cruise around this summer with your top-down, wearing a stylish Breitling Bentley watch. Brighten up your summer with a choice of vibrant leather straps and colourful dials.
Summer months and warmer weather tend to bring out the explorer in us. Perhaps you are a keen backpacker or enjoy camping, or maybe you are embarking on a more exotic getaway. The Rolex Explorer is the ideal luxury watch to take on your travels. Not only is the Rolex solid and sturdy, but it is water-resistant and designed to be one of the best watches for exploration.

In the mid-1930s, the Pasha of Marrakech requested Cartier design an elegant watch that could be worn in his swimming pool, hence the name Pasha. The original design featured a metal grille on the crystal for protection. It also has a screw-down to prevent water damage.
This particular Cartier Pasha is designed with women in mind. Although there is nothing wrong with a lady sporting a man’s model, we believe this stunning watch deserves a place on our list of summer favourites. Not only is the Cartier Pasha elegant and fashionable, but it is sturdy enough for sporting activities such as daily swims and trekking.
