Joseph Bulova, a Czech immigrant, founded the Bulova Corporation in 1875 in New York, USA. After much success, in 1912 he was able to establish his first dedicated watch manufacturing and assembly plant in Bienne, Switzerland, building only quality fully jeweled movements.
In 1960, they introduced the Accutron, which NASA incorporated into their computers for the space program, as it was guaranteed to be accurate to 2 seconds a day. Some popular models are Accutron, Aerojet, Ambassador, Incabloc, Marine Star, Sea King, Super Seville.
