Our Take

The Maurice Lacroix Calypso 75370 is a classy ladies watch, named after a God from Greek mythology so a nice story there, came out in the ’90s. The gold electroplated case measures 26mm in diameter and 32mm from lug to lug, it’s in good condition, with its interesting bezel and fancy lugs, it makes this watch really special. The dial is pure white with gold Roman numeral markers and a date at 6 o’clock. The Sapphire crystal is in perfect condition, the crown is gold and is signed with the logo. The back case bears the logo and although a little scratched is still lovely, at least its hidden by your arm! Its a quartz powered watch so time accuracy is a given. The original bracelet had to be replaced, we used a Darlena bracelet and managed to keep the buckle as well as the iconic Maurice Lacroix logo embedded in the strap, it measures 6.5” or 16.5cm. A lovely ladies watch that would compliment most outfits, only the original box is missing. Please don’t use this near water as we cannot guarantee water resistance.

About Maurice Lacroix

Although the company that first created Maurice Lacroix was formed in 1889, and did have significant links to the watch trade, Maurice Lacroix only formed in 1975. Unusually, the manufacturer had the capability to produce their own cases, but didn’t produce their own first in-house movement until 2006.

Not a traditional, centuries-old maker, but well respected and the vintage lines are collectible thanks to the elegant style that they bring to any outfit. Think sophisticated rather than utility.
