Our Take

The Maurice Lacroix 72963 is a classy ladies watch, produced back in the ’90s, it has a simple and elegant look. The gold plated case measures 26mm in diameter and 30mm from lug to lug, and it’s in good condition. The dial is white with gold markers and a date at 6 o’clock, the logo is evident in the centre and there are a few marks due to ageing if you look closely. The sapphire crystal is in perfect condition, the crown is gold and is unmarked. The steel back case bears the logo and although a little scratched, it will be hidden by your arm! The quartz movement has been completely overhauled and is now running strong and keeping perfect time. The original bracelet is intact with logo stud and original buckle, bear in mind that it has been well used over the years, it measures around 6.7” or 17cm approximately. A lovely petite ladies watch in its original box. Please don’t use this near water as we cannot guarantee water resistance.

About Maurice Lacroix

Although the company that first created Maurice Lacroix was formed in 1889, and did have significant links to the watch trade, Maurice Lacroix only formed in 1975. Unusually, the manufacturer had the capability to produce their own cases, but didn’t produce their own first in-house movement until 2006.

Not a traditional, centuries-old maker, but well respected and the vintage lines are collectible thanks to the elegant style that they bring to any outfit. Think sophisticated rather than utility.
