Our Take

Even though Maurice Lacroix has been around for a long time they did not actually create a watch under this name until 1975, and their first in-house movement was only produced as late as 2006, making this 2007 Intuition one of their first fully produced watches by Maurice Lacroix. Its set in an oval-shaped stainless steel case measuring around 20mm in diameter and 36mm from lug to lug, its thick and chunky but still petite. The dial is clean and elegant with only the logo in the centre and 12 and 6 numbers on display all covered by a sapphire crystal which is spotless. The original crown sports the Maurice Lacroix logo. The back case has the hallmark and model/serial numbers 32859 #AF41880, one of the screws are missing. The Maurice Lacroix quartz movement is clean and running as it should, keeping perfect time. The stainless steel strap with butterfly clasp will fit a wrist of approximately 6.7” or 17cm. A lovely ladies watch with all original parts and in good condition, only the original box is missing. Please don’t use this near water as we cannot guarantee water resistance.

About Maurice Lacroix

Although the company that first created Maurice Lacroix was formed in 1889, and did have significant links to the watch trade, Maurice Lacroix only formed in 1975. Unusually, the manufacturer had the capability to produce their own cases, but didn’t produce their own first in-house movement until 2006.

Not a traditional, centuries-old maker, but well respected and the vintage lines are collectible thanks to the elegant style that they bring to any outfit. Think sophisticated rather than utility.
