Our Take

The Kirium marked the end of an era for Tag Heuer and the start of a new one. Launched in 1997, with a design not seen before, and loosing the well known, six features. The round stainless steel ‘liquid metal’ case was said to have a single shape, with all components flowing into one, it measures 28mm in diameter and lug to lug 34mm. The clean blue metallic dial, luminous hands/markers and date at 3 o ‘clock position are under a Sapphire crystal which is virtually scratch resistant. The crown is the typical screw in lockdown type with logo, the Tag Heuer logo is evident on the back case, bezel rotates with the well known ‘click’. Model number WL1313-0, Serial Number: AZ8904. The Tag Heuer ETA quartz movement runs strong and keeps time perfectly. The strap, marked BA0709, will fit a wrist of approximately 16.5cm or 6.5” The watch is in good cosmetic condition, but there is some light surface wear from use. The box and papers are no longer present but it will come with a gift box. Please do not use it near water as it has not been pressure sealed.

About Tag Heuer

Originally known as Heuer, the company was founded in 1860 in St-Imier, the Tag association didn’t come about until 125 years later. Although some of the achievements have been overlooked, Heuer patented the oscillating pinion in 1887, which is still used by watch manufacturers today. Tag Heuer are best known for their sporting lines, such as the Carrera and Monaco, and it’s no surprise to see that wearers have included the likes of Muhammad Ali, Ayrton Senna, Steve McQueen and Tiger Woods.
