Our Take
Tissot goes a long way back, all the way to 1853, and the amount of awards they have won over the years is endless, this fact makes it surprising that a Swiss brand can still be so affordable, but it is! This Tissot Ballade dates back to the mid-’90s with its stainless-steel case and gold coin rimmed bezel – dial, hands and crown with logo, it manages to pull off a retro style without being overstated. It has a precise Tissot quartz movement, which works as it should and keeps good time, all encased under a sapphire crystal which clearly shows the stick markers and the date, located between 4 and 5 o’clock. A stainless case back, stamped Swiss Pack #C217/317C completes the watch, and measuring around 24mm in diameter and 28mm from lug to lug, it’s rather petite. The bi-metal strap is original with a butterfly clasp and will fit up to a 6” or 15cm wrist approximately. Things to point out; the dial is ageing, the crown has some damage to it and the strap is fading in some places. The watch comes without original box and papers but will have a gift box to accompany it. It has not been pressure sealed, so please do not use it near water.
