Our Take
Established as late as 1976, Raymond Weil was entering the Swiss watch market at an innovative time and could only survive by being on top of their game and making a name for themselves, which they clearly did. The Geneve 2812 was an early model produced in the 1980s. The electro gold plated case measures around 32mm in diameter and 36mm from lug to lug, it does show some damage/fading in areas. The gold dial with diamante, gold hands with sweep seconds and quickset date at the 3 o’ clock position are all protected under a mineral crystal. The watch is powered by an RW 2892A2 automatic movement with 21 jewels and keeping good time. The gold crown is unsigned and may have been replaced at some point. The back case is severely damaged/pitted but at least this is covered by your arm! Model number #2128 s/n A583975. The original bracelet has been replaced with a new genuine leather bracelet and will fit a wrist of 7.5” or 19cm approximately. The original box and papers are long gone, but it will be accompanied by a gift box. Water-resistance is not guaranteed as this watch is not sealed.
