Our Take
Rado is a well known Swiss brand worldwide, and although a relatively young, its craftsmanship is impeccable. This great example of the classic 1980s Voyager came out in many different styles over the years, but this was definitely one of the more popular ones. It’s a good size, suitable for today’s man, measuring 36mm in diameter and 42mm from lug to lug. The stainless steel case is in great shape, the steel back screws in and exhibits the ‘Rado’ logo. The dial is a gold colour, with gold/black markers, date/day at 3 o’ clock, and the iconic ‘hanging’ anchor below the noon position, all under an acrylic crystal. It’s worth mentioning that the calendar can be in both English and Spanish. The crown bears the logo and is gold plated. The watch is powered by an automatic movement with 17 jewels and keeps good time. The model number is 636.4002.4 and the serial number is 33473996. The bracelet has been replaced with a regular leather bracelet/buckle and will fit a wrist of about 7” or 17.5cm approximately. The watch comes without the original box, but a gift box will accompany the watch. Water-resistance is not guaranteed so please do not use it near water.
