Our Take

Tissot goes a long way back, all the way to 1853, and the amount of awards they have won over the years is endless, this fact makes it surprising that a Swiss brand can still be so affordable, but it is! This Tissot G343 dates back to the mid-’90s with its stainless-steel case measuring around 24mm in diameter and 26mm from lug to lug, a petite watch only suitable for a small wrist. The bezel is plain with a unique shape/gradient and is in good condition. It has a precise Tissot quartz movement, which works as it should and keeps perfect time. The plain silver dial has Roman numeral markers at 12 and 6, and plain black hands, all encased under a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The stainless steel case back, stamped with the logo and model number G343 s/n QKR-BC-32768 is slightly scratched from opening it. The original stainless steel strap will fit a wrist up to 6” or 15cm approximately, there are no additional links. The watch comes without the original box or papers but will have a gift box to accompany it. It has not been pressure sealed, so please do not use it near water.

About Tissot

“Innovators by tradition” has been the phrase behind Tissot since the founding of the company in 1853. As proof of that, they’ve been responsible for: first mass-produced pocket watch, first pocket watch with dual time zones, first to make watches from plastic (Idea 2001), rock (RockWatch), mother of pearl (the Pearl watch) and wood.

Also introduced the ‘T-Touch’ technology in 1999, which have touch-sensitive sapphire crystals to control functions.

They now work with a number of organising sporting bodies to develop ever-more accurate timing solutions, whether that’s cycling, motorcycling, fencing or hockey. Notable wearers include Grace Kelly,
James Stewart and Nelson Mandela.
