Our Take

THE MASTER OF MATERIALS. Combining design and high-tech materials for watches that will stand the test of time. This 90s Florence model takes its name from the city itself and exhibits elegance and style. It is rather petite compared to today’s watches measuring only 19mm in diameter and 25mm from lug to lug. The gold plated case has a rectangular shape and is sturdy and solid, unfortunately, there is some plate wear evident. The steel back screws in and is in good condition, it bears the logo, model number #963.3682.2 s/n 02180542. The gold textured dial is in good condition with gold markers all the way around and baton-shaped gold hands, all under a sapphire scratch-resistant crystal. The crown is signed with the logo, fading is evident in the gold here too. The watch is powered by a quartz movement and keeps perfect time. The original gold strap with butterfly clasp is in good condition and will fit a wrist of about 5.7” or 14.5cm approximately. Suitable for a small wrist, or you can change the strap for a leather one in your length The watch comes without the original box but will be accompanied by a gift box. Water-resistance is not guaranteed so please do not use it near water.

About Rado

Started life as Schlup & Co. in 1917, but started selling watches under the Rado brand in the 50s. Best known for the innovative design and use of revolutionary materials such as ceramic, giving the watches a unique look and feel.

The ceramic style was started when they incorporated it with the ‘Integral’ watch, although only in the bracelet, it took a bit longer for the ‘Ceramica’ to come along, which was the first watch to be made entirely with ceramic.

Rado watches are elegant, stylish and subtle, they don’t shout at you like other brands, but certainly, show that you have an appreciation of horology.
