Our Take
Whether you are a watch collector, an enthusiast, or just looking for a gift for your loved one, you cannot go wrong with a Tissot timepiece. This Tissot Seastar dates back to the mid-’70s with its gold plated case and plain raised bezel measuring around 31mm in diameter and 35mm from lug to lug, smaller than today’s men’s watches, so potentially good for a lady too. Do note the wear on the case. It has Tissot automatic 25 jewels movement, which works as it should and keeps good time. The black dial has been refurbished and is clean with diamante markers in 3 positions, sweep seconds and a quick set date/day at the 3 o’clock position in English/Spanish, all encased under a mineral crystal. The stainless case back is marked Tissot #A550X and pops in. The crown is unsigned and may have been replaced at some point and is a bit faded. The original gold plated steel strap will fit up to a 7.5” or 19cm wrist approximately. The watch comes without the original box or papers but will have a gift box to accompany it. It has not been pressure sealed, so please do not use it near water
