Our Take

Whether you are a watch collector, an enthusiast, or just looking for a gift for your loved one, you cannot go wrong with a Tissot timepiece. This Tissot Seastar dates back to the mid-’80s with its Stainless steel case and plain gold plated bezel which makes a great contrast. It measures around 24mm in diameter and 27mm from lug to lug, suitable for a smaller wrist. Do note the wear on the case. It has a Tissot automatic 25 jewels movement, which works as it should and keeps good time. The gold dial is clean with stick markers, sweep seconds and a quick set date at the 3 o’clock position all encased under a sapphire crystal. The stainless case back is marked Tissot #A630/730K. The gold crown bears the logo. The replacement brown leather strap will fit up to a 6.3” or 16cm wrist approximately. The watch comes without original box and papers but will have a gift box to accompany it. It has not been pressure sealed, so please do not use it near water.

About Tissot

“Innovators by tradition” has been the phrase behind Tissot since the founding of the company in 1853. As proof of that, they’ve been responsible for: first mass-produced pocket watch, first pocket watch with dual time zones, first to make watches from plastic (Idea 2001), rock (RockWatch), mother of pearl (the Pearl watch) and wood.

Also introduced the ‘T-Touch’ technology in 1999, which have touch-sensitive sapphire crystals to control functions.

They now work with a number of organising sporting bodies to develop ever-more accurate timing solutions, whether that’s cycling, motorcycling, fencing or hockey. Notable wearers include Grace Kelly,
James Stewart and Nelson Mandela.
