Our Take

Whether you are a watch collector, an enthusiast, or just looking for a gift for your loved one, you cannot go wrong with a Tissot timepiece. This Tissot Seastar dates back to the mid-’80s with its 10 Microns gold plated uniquely shaped rectangular case and protruding bezel. It measures around 30mm in diameter and 36mm from lug to lug, on the smaller side for many gents so could suit a lady too. It is powered by a Tissot quartz movement with 7 jewels, which works as it should and keeps perfect time. The gold dial is plain, it has gold markers and hands, quick set date at 3 o’clock, and a gold pattern printed around the edges, all under a mineral crystal, which has some light scratches. The stainless case back simply pops in and exhibits the logo, inner ref: A363. The gold/black tipped cabochon crown is beautiful and functions to set the time/date. The strap has been replaced with a new brown leather strap and will fit up to a 7.5” or 19cm wrist approximately. The watch comes without original box and papers but will have a gift box to accompany it. It has not been pressure sealed, so please do not use it near water

About Tissot

“Innovators by tradition” has been the phrase behind Tissot since the founding of the company in 1853. As proof of that, they’ve been responsible for: first mass-produced pocket watch, first pocket watch with dual time zones, first to make watches from plastic (Idea 2001), rock (RockWatch), mother of pearl (the Pearl watch) and wood.

Also introduced the ‘T-Touch’ technology in 1999, which have touch-sensitive sapphire crystals to control functions.

They now work with a number of organising sporting bodies to develop ever-more accurate timing solutions, whether that’s cycling, motorcycling, fencing or hockey. Notable wearers include Grace Kelly,
James Stewart and Nelson Mandela.
