Our Take

As you may know, Tag Heuer was once known as ‘Heuer’ for well over 100 years actually, that was until 1985 when the TAG group purchased a majority stake in the company, making this one of the first of a new era at Tag Heuer, dating back to the early 90s. The case is made in the original shape of its predecessor in polished steel, it measures 28mm in diameter and lug to lug 32mm, a good size for a lady. The black dial, luminous hands/markers, and date at 3 o ‘clock position are under a mineral crystal, there seems to be a couple of hairline scratches, the bezel rotates with the well known ‘click’. The crown is gold with the logo and screws in, the Tag Heuer logo is evident on the back case and the model number 925.208H and serial #P51378. The Tag Heuer ETA quartz movement runs strong and keeps time perfectly. The stainless steel Bi-Metal strap with double lock clasp and wet suit extension will fit a wrist of approximately 16cm or 6.3”. The box and papers are no longer present but it will come with a gift box. Please do not use it near water as it has not been pressure sealed.

About Tag Heuer

Originally known as Heuer, the company was founded in 1860 in St-Imier, the Tag association didn’t come about until 125 years later. Although some of the achievements have been overlooked, Heuer patented the oscillating pinion in 1887, which is still used by watch manufacturers today. Tag Heuer are best known for their sporting lines, such as the Carrera and Monaco, and it’s no surprise to see that wearers have included the likes of Muhammad Ali, Ayrton Senna, Steve McQueen and Tiger Woods.
