Our Take

Whether you are a watch collector, an enthusiast, or just looking for a gift for your loved one, you cannot go wrong with a Tissot timepiece. This Tissot dates back to around 1974 with its 10 microns gold plated oval-shaped case and plain bezel measuring around 22mm in diameter and 22mm from lug to lug, a petite ladies watch. It has a Tissot 2403 manual wind 17 jewels movement, which works as it should and keeps good time. The brown two-tone dial has aged well, it has white hands and markers and is encased under a plexiglass crystal. The stainless case back is clean with a matt finish and pops in, the inner ref is 10724-10X. The gold crown is signed with the logo. There is a new brown leather strap with gold buckle, it will fit up to a 6.5” or 16.5cm wrist approximately. The watch comes without the original box or papers but will have a gift box to accompany it. It has not been pressure sealed, so please do not use it near water.

About Tissot

“Innovators by tradition” has been the phrase behind Tissot since the founding of the company in 1853. As proof of that, they’ve been responsible for: first mass-produced pocket watch, first pocket watch with dual time zones, first to make watches from plastic (Idea 2001), rock (RockWatch), mother of pearl (the Pearl watch) and wood.

Also introduced the ‘T-Touch’ technology in 1999, which have touch-sensitive sapphire crystals to control functions.

They now work with a number of organising sporting bodies to develop ever-more accurate timing solutions, whether that’s cycling, motorcycling, fencing or hockey. Notable wearers include Grace Kelly,
James Stewart and Nelson Mandela.
