Bulova is a brand that not everyone may know, but for those that do, they love it! It’s known for being the first privately owned watch having active service on the moon. This very attractive classic Bulova dates back to 1960 (date code M0), gifted in 1961 as per the engraving evident on the back case, original a gents watch but now more suited to a lady, measuring 30mm in diameter and 38mm from lug to lug. The 10K gold plated case retains excellent definition with its round smooth bezel, and protruding lugs. The steel back screws in and is in good condition, it bears the logo and model number #E-828257. The champagne dial is in good condition for its age with only slight discolouration evident, it has gold arrowhead markers and hands with elegant sweep seconds, all under a domed acrylic crystal. The crown is signed and original. The watch is powered by an 11AFAC automatic movement with 17 jewels and keeps good time. The strap has been replaced with a brown leather bracelet and will fit a wrist of about 7” or 17.5cm approximately. The watch comes without the original box or papers but will be accompanied by a gift box. Water-resistance is not guaranteed so please do not use it near water.
