Our Take

One of the last family-owned independent Swiss watch brands out there, thriving in a really competitive market, this can mean only one thing, quality! The Geneve 9809 is a great example of that quality, a timeless design from the ’90s. The round 10 microns gold plated round case measures around 23mm in diameter and 26mm from lug to lug, case shows wear/fading. The classy black dial with seconds subdial and diamante at the 12 o clock position also features gold sword-shaped hands under a mineral crystal which is unfortunately slightly scratched. The RW quartz movement has been examined and keeps accurate time. The gold plated crown adjusts time and is unsigned. The back case bears the logo and model number 9809, 18K electroplated 10 Microns. The original leather bracelet was replaced with a Hirsch black leather one and will fit a wrist measuring around 6.7” or 17cm approximately. The watch comes without the original box or papers, but it will be accompanied by a gift box. Water-resistance is not guaranteed as this watch is not sealed

About Raymond Weil

A youngster compared to some other brands; the company was founded in 1976, by Raymond Weil, who believed that Swiss watches could be something different. The brand has always been inspired and influenced by music, so collections like the ‘Amadeus’ are commonplace.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary, they produced the Othello collection, which was a blend of avant-garde technology and refined design. Style has always been at the forefront of the Raymond Weil collections, the newer watches are a simple design, but extremely beautiful.
