Our Take
Bulova is a brand that not everyone may know, but for those that do, they love it! It’s known for being the first privately owned watch having active service on the moon. This very attractive classic Bulova dates back to 1955 (date code L5), original a gents watch but now more suited to a lady, measuring 30mm in diameter and 38mm from lug to lug. The 10K gold plated case retains excellent definition with its round smooth bezel, and protruding lugs, case shows wear at the lugs. The steel back screws in and is in good condition, it bears the logo and model number #A814267. The black textured dial is in good condition for its age, it has gold arrowhead markers and hands with elegant sweep seconds, all under a domed acrylic crystal. The crown is gold plated and unsigned. The watch is powered by a 10BPAC automatic movement with 23 jewels and keeps good time. The strap has been replaced with a black leather bracelet and will fit a wrist of about 7” or 17.5cm approximately. The watch comes without the original box or papers but will be accompanied by a gift box. Water-resistance is not guaranteed so please do not use it near water.
