Born in 1946, it wasn’t till 1975 that Dior branched out to watches, and boy, are we glad they did! This classy midsize watch dates back to the mid-nineties with its 18K electro gold plated round case and bi-metal bezel, with those beautiful lugs. It has a precise Dior Swiss quartz movement, which works as it should and keeps perfect time. The gold multi-layered dial is clean and elegant with Arabic markers all round, a sub-dial for the seconds and some gold hands, all encased under a mineral crystal in excellent condition. The crown is unsigned and damaged. A gold plated case back stamped Christian Dior #51-15-01 s/n 172917 completes the watch and measuring around 30mm in diameter and 34mm from lug to lug, it could be for either a lady or a man with a smaller wrist. The strap has been replaced with a black lizard style leather bracelet and will fit a wrist of up to 7” or 17.5cm approximately. Overall a lovely watch, really classy, but it does show some general surface wear especially at the back. The watch comes without the original box or papers, but a gift box will accompany it. It has not been pressure sealed, so please do not use it near water.
