Our Take

One of the last family-owned independent Swiss watch brands out there, thriving in a really competitive market, this can mean only one thing, quality! The Geneve 684 is a great example of that quality, a uniquely designed piece from the ’80s. The goldplated square-shaped case measures around 22mm in diameter and 24mm from lug to lug and has a lovely ‘braided’ gold bezel. The watch has a plain gold dial with a single diamante to mark the 12, it also features gold sword-shaped hands to match and is protected under a mineral crystal. The watch is powered by a manual wind movement with 17 jewels and keeps good time. The gold plated cabochon crown adjusts time and winds up the watch. The back case bears model number 684 and is stainless steel. There is a new brown leather strap with a matching gold buckle, and it will fit a wrist measurement of 6.5” or 16.5cm approximately. The watch comes without the original box or papers, but it will be accompanied by a gift box. Water resistance is not guaranteed as this watch is not sealed.

About Raymond Weil

A youngster compared to some other brands; the company was founded in 1976, by Raymond Weil, who believed that Swiss watches could be something different. The brand has always been inspired and influenced by music, so collections like the ‘Amadeus’ are commonplace.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary, they produced the Othello collection, which was a blend of avant-garde technology and refined design. Style has always been at the forefront of the Raymond Weil collections, the newer watches are a simple design, but extremely beautiful.
