Our Take
Simple and elegant, what more can I say. Longines is a brand that has been around for a long time and has featured in many sporting events as an official timekeeper. Unlike today’s watches with all the bells and whistles, there was a time when less was more and that is very clear with this 1980s piece. It has been crafted in a gold plated case with a stainless steel case back, the case measures 24mm in diameter and 28mm from lug to lug, and is in good condition with only light wear. The dial is clean and simple, with roman numeral markers, the logo in the centre, and black baton-shaped hands. The crown bears the original logo. The back case is made from stainless steel and the serial number is 37261711, under the case ticks away a 17 jewels manual wind Longines movement which keeps good time. The crystal is mineral and looks good. The original strap is intact but used and measures around 6.5” or 16.5cm approximately. The watch comes with the original box and papers. There are no guarantees with water resistance, so rather stay away from it.
